API Services has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Calibration Field Service Engineer. Automated Precision Inc. (API) is an engineering solutions company who develops, produces and drives worldwide metrology products that deliver the highest standards of accuracy for coordinate measuring and machine tool operation. APIs headquarters are based in Rockville, Maryland, USA with offices located throughout North America, South America, Europe, Mexico, India and Asia.

This is an exciting opportunity to service some of the world’s most advanced equipment at high profile manufactures, provide knowledge and service to our clients and to launch several new measurement product lines into markets with little or no competition. As a CNC Calibration Field Service Engineer you will support the API sales team with product demonstrations and customer support. You should have an understanding of the complete solutions sales process and your main responsibility will be to support your Regional Sales Manager by assisting to perform weekly onsite demonstrations and customer meetings. You should have the acuity to learn fast with a successful track record of helping to support sales teams involving advanced technological solutions to decision influencers and decision makers in varying manufacturing vertical markets within aerospace, automotive, energy, machine tool, and other general industries. Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

  • A.S. in Electronics OR Electronics Technician training received in the military OR equivalent combination of education and experience in repair and calibration of machine tools.
  • Experience with Siemens, Fanuc and Fagor controls.
  • CNC Programming and operational background.
  • Optical or laser experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently w/minimal supervision.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Position requires approximately 75% travel, domestic and international.
